Some of the video looks fake but everything seems to be checking out.
I’ve been doing a bunch of research on this Hoverboard from HUVr and here’s what I found
HUVr has their own official YouTube channel that they started uploading video to yesterday 3/4/2014.

HUVr Hoverboards seem to have a legitimate website huvrtech.com…
Also what I found on their website is it appears that Mark Cuban the multi billionaire that owns the Dallas Mavericks and appears on the TV show Shark Tank seems to have an interest and is a partner in the company.
On the website he’s quoted to say
“Once in a rare while do you get a chance to be part of something this big. This is one of those times. I’ve never been so excited for a product I’ve invested in. This F**cking thing is going to change the world.”

Tony Hawk even says that the Hoverboard in “Back to the Future” was a huge reason skateboarding became popular.”

The hoverboard company calling themselves HUVr Corp and claim to have a staff filled with “materials science, electricity & magnetism experts who’ve solved an important part of one of science’s mysteries: the key to antigravity.”

However after doing more research and examining the videos more closely I’m about 90% convinced that this is probably not real 🙁

Great post you two about the hoverboard is it real or not – get all the facts here. If you could build an anti gravitational device that could use magnetism to counteract with the Earth’s own magnetic pull they might be on to something. Many a modern device was shown in Sci-fi movies from years ago.
Interesting blog, I too like so many others was wishing it to be true. I was blown away at first until I paid attention to the readings acknowledging that it’s fake. I hope this comes to pass and we have hover boards in the future. Technology such as this will change the Future, that’s for sure
