Having your own blog can seem like a tricky thing. With the abundance of blogs these days, it is both difficult and important to stand out from the rest. Read on for tips and tricks to keeping your blog unique.
Blog about interesting things and provide relevant content. Everyday chores such as vacuuming and cleaning do not usually make good topics for blog posts. But, absent an innovative, engaging method of discussing such topics, you are unlikely to hold visitors’ interest if you talk about them. Pick a topic that you know will interest people. After all, your ultimate goal with writing a blog is to get people to your website.
Your blog should be unique, so it stands out in the crowd. Readers will be attracted by original content. Information which is tough to find has the same effect. Write about a hobby or experience that is different. Provide specifics of how widgets are made. Doing this will encourage readers to visit your blog when they’re trying to find information on something specific.
Reach out to successful bloggers in your niche, and see if they will post guest pots on your blog. This will enhance your site’s profile and improve its content. You should have additional traffic if they notify their visitors of the appearance. Use several bloggers to do this and create more rich content.
Choose keywords to put in your blog that are unique and not widely used. If you opt to use the exact same keywords every other site is using, your site will very likely be lost. The more unique and original your blog, the more attention you will get.
Don’t write endless paragraphs of content. You should always research the material for your blog. If you write filler or garbage, your blog won’t succeed. Your content is the most important way to success.
Any blog that wants a close relation with its readers needs a contact form. This allows your visitors to provide you with feedback about your blog, as well as them being able to ask you questions. You don’t know who’s going to be visiting your blog, so allowing others to contact you may provide some valuable feedback.
Split up long blog posts into multiple sections with sub-headings. A long article can lose readers. Therefore, it is important that you breakup your longer segments into divisions that are more easily taken in for the common man or woman that visits your blog.
You should always remember that writing a blog is very social. The social nature of running a blog requires that you interact with your readers on a regular basis. Be sure to put yourself out there by talking to other people in the market. If you do nothing, it is very unlikely that your blog will be successful. You must engage and interact with potential readers and other bloggers in order to achieve success.
Now you are able to stand out from the crowd; it just requires work and time. Continuous use of these tips will enable you to maintain your blog quality so that your existing readers and new readers will eagerly follow your blog posts.

Jamison & Rachel
I have a new idea in line with my goals that I will be releasing soon to make my blog stand out. I was thinking of running it by a couple of my fellow bloggers (and you in particular, Rachel) to see what you think. So as I stay in my blog, stay tuned. This stepping through of what we do from how to do web pages to blogging, etc., is so helpful Rachel, and I thank you sincerely.
Great tips on blogging! Many of these tips are what I’m doing with my new blog that I just launched last week. Good stuff!
