Arkansas has lots of trails, hiking, biking, walking and river paths. One highlight is the Natural State’s scenic beauty. If you love golf Arkansas even brags about the Natural State Golf Trail, with twelve courses in all corners of Arkansas. The scenery at Ouachita and Ozark Mountains, the Timberlands, Central Arkansas, and the geographic wonder called Crowley’s Ridge.
If you are into History, there are trips which explore the Civil War Routes and trace the Old Southwest Trail and the Trail of Tears. There was much history in this area of the struggle by the Native Americans the African Americans and the Japanese Americans for civil rights.
Believe it or not, you can travel the Arkansas Wine Trail and visit the many breweries along the way, enjoy cheese dip in the state where it was invented or have many varieties of some of the best BBQ anywhere in the Country. Arkansas is also famous for its homemade pies.
