In terms of health benefits, you’d be extremely hard-pressed to find another method as beneficial as juicing. You don’t have to eat so many vegetables and fruits, because juicing allows you to enjoy all of the minerals and vitamins they provide. Read this article to get the best information on beginning your juicing adventures!
Whenever you make juice drinks from dark, leafy produce, consider adding some cucumber as well. It is common for the leafier specimens to taste somewhat bitter and be a bit overpowering. Cucumber will put a nice twist on your drink, as well as masking the taste of unpleasant veggies. Unpeeled cucumbers are packed with lots of important nutrients.
You can make juice that is extra healthy for you by using dark green vegetables as the base. Try blending around 50-75% dark leafy greens like mustard greens or chard with something a little brighter in flavor. Make the remaining portion tasty with fresh and flavorful fruits.
Enjoy each drop of this juice. Give your body time to take in all of its delightful flavors. Give your saliva the chance to mix into the juice, and begin the digestion process.
Drink your juice by itself. This will make a lot of sense when you look at the large amount of food that you will need to create a single glass of juice. Drinking fresh juice alone as a meal allows the juice’s nutrients to quickly enter your bloodstream.
Kids Don’t Like Vegetables?
If your kids don’t like vegetables, you can just make them vegetable juice to provide them the nutrients they need. Most children do not care much for eating their vegetables. You can make a great tasting vegetable and fruit juice, and the kids won’t know they’re eating vegetables.
It is helpful to store your juicer on the kitchen counter or anywhere in plain sight. You will get more use out of your juicer if you keep it in this location. When you keep it in your view, you will remember to use it more.
Making excess juice to bottle and refrigerate is very handy, but you don’t want your juice to get discolored. Most people find juice that has turned to colors like grey or brown less than appetizing. You can prevent discoloration by mixing in a few teaspoonfuls of freshly squeezed lemon juice. The lemon won’t change the flavor all that much, but will preserve the look of the juice.
Choosing A Juicer
Choose a juicer which is simple to take apart and clean. You don’t want to waste a lot of time putting together and cleaning a juicer, you want to just get the job done and get to juicing. Always clean soon after juicing as your juicer will be easier to clean when the pulp is still moist.
Green Liquid Diet
Pick a veggie that is dark green to use for the foundation of your juice, if you are creating juice to optimize health benefits. Juices ought to be comprised of somewhere between 1/2 and 3/4 chard, broccoli, spinach or related items. Use the rest of the recipe for sweet fruit to give it more flavor.
Green juices are very nutritious and great for building your body; however, they have the stigma that they taste disgusting. This is not always the truth. Lots of healthy ingredients exist that can be added into juices in order to change their taste into pretty much any flavor you desire. For instance, lime will cause the juice to be more sour tasting, and apples will add a sweeter taste to it.
As the beginning of the above article has stated, many benefits come from juicing. When you juice, you get all the vitamins and minerals that are found in vegetables and fruits, but remove the filling pulp. You can improve your health by following the juicing advice contained in this article.

Juicing is fabulous! My kids actually help make the juices and always drink it up. Nutritious and so very tasty, when done right.:) Cucumber and apples are always in my house for this reason.

Nice. We have this awesome juicer, and a great book of recipes… As soon as we move into our new place here in Hawaii on December 1st, and the juicer comes out of the storage unit we’ve been storing it in while we’ve been getting settled here, I can’t WAIT to start using it – there are so many amazing fresh fruits and vegetables here – and there is nothing better in a hot climate than a refreshing juice drink… Thanks for the tips!
