Don’t send out emails to people who don’t want them. If your readers are receiving messages that are unsolicited, they might mark your emails as spam. This is terrible for your business’s reputation and might even get your IP address blocked by some ISPs.


Only use marketing with email to target people who have give you permission to contact them. Mailing people who are not familiar with you or your product can look like spam. The first thing they will ask themselves is if they know who you are. Then, they will weigh whether they should bother to pay attention to your goods or services. If you write it well, you can create a nice emotional connection between your company and the newsletter readers.


Cause email previewers to work in your favor by using preheader material. Preheaders are just the beginning line of text that comes from the body of the email, that is highlighted at the very top. Most email companies show the preheader directly after the subject line and it can be used as a real attention grabber.


While in the opt-in process, be sure to ask for the names of your customers, especially their first name. This way, you could customize your recipient’s email by addressing them individually, making the email more personal. This will help your emails stand out from those that seem anonymous and cold.
